Quality Ratings

My wife and I are nearing retirement and contemplating becoming "Winter Texans" - folks who spend the summer "up north", then winter in deep south Texas around McAllen, Brownsville, and Harlingen. We will probably reverse that, and stay mostly in south Texas, and spend less time elsewhere.
We have decided to buy a new home. We want a double, mostly because they approximate the space we have in our current site built home. We will live in a park catering to Winter Texans. There are a lot of dealerships in the area.
I keep reading about "quality" in these postings - but have no idea what manufacturers are considered high quality - and those to stay away from.
Anyhelp folks?
