Fireplaces
In a manufactured home (doublewide) which is recommended: wood burning or gas? Or, is it just a matter of personal preference?
Re: Fireplaces
Hello Gloria,
I like wood heat and if you have access to wood and don't mind the work. A wood fireplace is hard to beat. But there are some very nice gas fireplaces that look like wood stove and are very efficient. It's personal preference but both wood or gas is a great choice.

Re: Fireplaces
Gloria,
My new double-wide manufactured homes was built for wood burning but was converted to gas before moving in. I am glad that we decided to convert the fireplace because it was a big concern for the insurance. They were hesitant to insure with a wood fireplace. You may want to check with who would insure your home before you make a choice.
