Silvercrest is advertising a "Super Floor" steel floor system as strongest available. Can anyone explain this "super floor" to me and offer an opinion. Is this superior to 2x8 floor joists; why?

The "Super Floor" is superior because it uses 1 1/8 inch CDC plywood for the subfloor. The 1 1/8" plywood is also used in light commercial flooring system where it is placed on girders, usually 4 x 6's spaced at 4 feet on center. The steel frame will not need the intermediate posts for supports, which saves labor time. Since the steel frame of the flooring system is welded to the foundation wall, it provides superior resistance to lateral forces, like hurricanes and earthquakes.
Finally, it does away with that "Hollow Trailer Feeling" which I dislike about manufactured homes. The benefits by far outweigh the slightly higher cost.
By the way, I am in no way associated with the Industry.
