Ok, Plywood or osb? i'm hearing horrer stories about both. I know that plywood comes in different grades but which one for flooring and if i get osb and then want to later take out the carpet and put down tile; will I have to put down hardibacker or will the osb be good enough?

I think you are confused. Particle board/aka Nova Deck and there is one other name - PARTICLE BOARD IS the item to STAY AWAY FROM..... OSB is better... Plywood is the best... Have any ? - I've had nothing but MAJOR problems for 18 months in my NEW Skyline MH...

Hello Alex,
Cresdeck, plywood or Novadeck would work well with tile. OSB would not be a good choice. Be sure that the sub-floor is nailed and glued to 2x8 floor joists.
