Hello Charlotte,

I have looked at Karten Homes and have spoke with people considering buying a karsten home and they are a average home builder. I know some think they are the best thing since apple pie but HallMark Homes are a better home. Don't get me wrong, if your a mid-range buyer Karsten is a good choice. But for a upper-end buyer I would think they fall short. Just my own opinion.

Hello Charlotte,

I like Karsten homes but some making it sound as if Karsten was an upper-end home and they are not. They are average in construction and Karsten is appealing to mid-range buyers. I just want to keep things in perspective. Karsten is a great home for those that are price conscious but want some quality.

I looked up Hallmark on the net and it appears they are mainly in the North East. What is something comparible in the SW, Texas, NM, Colorado region?

What is it about the Karstens that makes them mid-range? They appear to be heavier built, better insulated and have a MUCH better frame than any others I have seen or heard about.
