Post by Linda Thomas » Sun Nov 04, 2001 12:37 am

I am thinking of buying a Belmont mobile home on Monday. Here is the deal-2001 model-16x80 side by side fridge stove and air Delivered and setup for 19.000 No underpinng. The dealer I am buying from said the home had been tied down and lived in for 6 months. And I do not get ANY kind of warranty on anything! Am I getting a good buy? Help!

Nope You are not getting a GOOD deal, Bel makes a very cheap home, But if you are happy with it thats all that matters, He should give and install the underpinning at NO COST, All so contact the BBB on this dealer and do a little research its free.As the saying goes Buyer Beware! I bet it was a repo, And he is selling it for the lender, Check all the floors a lot of past owners will overflo the sinks just to ruin them ( Floors )

Hello Linda,

On used or Repo. homes always have an inspector check the home out structurally. The price is not bad for a 2001 model. It really depends on what you want to do with the home. Will you be staying in the home for 5-years or less? if so go for it. If you were planning on living in the home the rest of your life I would consider a quality built manufactured home. Hope this helps.
