Jim Walters Homes

Has anyone had experience with the Homes by Jim Walters? How do they compare with Solitaire?

I've looked at Jim Walters home models at Panama City, Dothan, and Memphis, and was very impressed with the whole package--price, design, build quality, etc. I especially liked a model called The Plantation--very unique floorplan and outside appearance. My problem is, I live 100 miles north of St. Louis and no dealer/builder will drive this far to put up a Jim Walters Home (we had seriously considered buying one instead of a modular). I am not familiar with the other company you mentioned.

Jim Walter does not sell a complete home...They sell them from 50 to 90% complete...These are for the do it yourselfer...

Generally you will find that the manufactured home you mentioned has much better basic construction characteristics...Check out the specs very well....Factor in the savings on the manufactured home...The answer is obvious..
