Fall Creek Homes
Fall Creek Homes
My wife and I were days from closing on a Fall Creek Home when our dealer called and told us the manufacturer was shutting down for a "reorganization." Would anyone know if Fall Creek is coming back or did they go belly-up for good? How about a recommendation for a home of comparable quality from a better financed company?
RE: Fall Creek Homes
I don't know if they went belly up, but I can tell you that I asked for a price quote from a retailer FOUR weeks ago, and have yet to get a response. He says he hasn't heard back from Fall Creek. So about a week ago, I called Fall Creek directly and spoke to a customer service person, Mike. He was going to talk to the retailer and some one would get back to me in a day or so. That was a week ago. They may have great quality homes, but they have lousy customer service.

It is better if they go belly up and if I can help I will.
I bought a home in Dec 99 by Jan it was falling apart. We found pencils and peices of wood screws and other debris under the carpet. The fire place is crooked,
The roof line has settled about three inches in the hinged part of the roof.
The walls on the end of the house where the two halves were pulled together were four inches off the foundation and now are only one inch off the foundation, that is on both ends of the house. The fireplace flue leaks rain water down the inside of the fireplace and down the wall onto the floor. Both entry doors are falling apart and will need replacing befor winter. The furnace has not worked right since new and I think the heat ducts are either mashed or are full of insulation. Our first winters fuel bill was over $2000.00.
Three days I had to replace parts of the master bath toilet and today the other toilet has broken downand I can't shut the water off because they (fallcreek) didn't put any shutoffs on any of the water lines. I had to clampit shut on a temp. with a pair of visegrips. The inside doors will not stay shut and latched. The drywall in bedroom #2 came loose from the studs and you could look in and see back side of the fireplace.
If any of you are going to buy a fallcreek home just email me and I will set up an appt. to tour our home.
lastly I am not bitter about my mistake in choosing a new home, I just make mistakes
thanks Harold
