Windows and Wall Height

Post by Cathy Yar » Thu Feb 15, 2001 11:57 pm

Hi,
I viewed several mid-line Skyline models (Central California) and it seemed like I was very tall. The windows were set low in the walls - I could actually touch the top of the windows and I am only 5'3". The outside walls seemed to be short.
Is the wall height and window set something I should be looking out for in my search for a MH? Is this true of all MH homes? I am hoping to buy in the next month or so.

Hello Cathy,

Manufactured homes built to HUD standards (which are poor by the way) Many Mfg homes only build their walls to 7 1/2 feet high that way the windows seem low. Skyline is middle of the road for quality. They have been around a long time. You may want to focus your attention on some other homes like Palm Harbors, Marlett's just to name a few.
