Terry you are correct i have been in the bussiness for over 30 years and have seem alot of things happen. Alot of manufactures used substandard building material in those days that was made only for our industry.that commodore is no longer in bussiness for some of those reasons,The company has been under new ownership since the early 90.s and are dedicated to bulding high quality affordable homes. Customers should certainly listen to word of mouth references when making a buying decision ,but lets compare apples to apples ,homes built in the 70's an 80's certainly are not as well built as current homes no matter who the manufacturer is.In all my years in tne industry i can say Commodore is one of the best homes out there notice i did not say the best i said one of the best, there are several manufactures that build high end homes that compare to ours. Again i invite you to visit our wb site @COMMODOREHOMES.COM or visit the closes plant to you we are confident you will come away with a new impression of our product seeing is believing my friend, thanks for your imput.

My input on this Commodore home is this " ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD"
I bought a brand new 24x52 Commoder Sectional home in 1987, The floor fell through with in 6 months, The ceiling tile came tumbling down, Hot water was hooked up to the toilet, Lights would flicker off and on. this was on the wet side of the home, Yep it sure was a super piece of goodness for sure, If the home was not so hard to pull around it would be a perfect Boat Anchor

You're hitting on problems I am having with my Skyline - sagging, loose, buckled, swollen, bouncing, particle board sub flooring (15 month old house) soon to cave in probably - 1/4 inch drywall, loose, dangling wiring (not attached to studs), ekectrical boxes mounted in drywall - push the plug or pull hard enough and quess where the box end up, kitchen cabinets thrown together an not a sigle door hung straight, already had a roof leak, heat duct which will not distribute the air evenly,Coleman furnace won't operate correctly and the Coleman rep lied to me,door jams not square and doors rubbing the 'finish'trim, garbage disposal plumbing wrong - dumps waste into my dishwasher, Just not enough time in a day to list everything - Don't ask me if I love my Skyline MH....
