I was reading somewhere in here where someone was talking about the books David mentioned having been in print for five years and that the industry has changed a lot since then so they are out dated; however, I am sure basic information remains the same so, I will purchase them. I am still getting lost in here trying to find my way around....didn't think I would ever get back to here. I amazed myself that I found it again.
We are looking at "Karsten Manufactured Homes" also now. The dealership is in Carlsbad, NM. They have offered to pay for a trip to Albuquerque, NM. to see how they are built.I will also look at Southern Energy Homes.
We are currently living in a 1940s home since retiring 7-20-10. We've had it for over 8 yrs. but rented out. We have the inside pretty much redone....we now have the outside to deal with, just more and more money that we don't have and this isn't how I want to spend my retirement. I would like to do other things, not constantly work on a house, which is what this will require. I want soemthing new that I don't have to do anything to for a fairly long while.

If you find info you think needs to be updated in these books, e-mail the author John Grissim directly, he will always answer. Once you buy them ask him if he has any recent updates. He has been keeping up with the industry..Mr. Grissim has posted in these forums nearly 40 times..Search for him as an author of posts in the search system here remember to search for all dates..
