Rmurray is right. You don't have anything to gain by further contact. These guys aren't going to give your money back willingly. They probably don't even have it anymore, they have likely spent it.

Quality Wholsale Homes, Goldbilt

Post by guymauerhan » Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:45 pm

The name of the new scam business is:
Goldbilt.com and Goldbuilt.com
1633 Main St. Suite A-335
Billings, MT 59105
Toll Free: (866) 246-2099
Fax: (888) 632-2111
Email: [email protected] Phone:(866) 246-209

I checked on this, since I live in Billings and interested because I work in the Industry. This is the UPS postal store and a p.o. box at that location.I'm not sure why they have this P.O. Box in Billings, MT. The Manufacturing Plant that is selling them homes is KIT HOME BUILDERS, in Caldwell, ID.

Yeah, no joke, we should have checked more. But we had "shopped" the site for 2 years and got too comfortable.

Should haves may help you feel smarter but they don't really comfort anyone..I'm sure everyone who lost any $ knows about should haves.

EVERYONE trick is to contact the Utah Division of Consumer Protection...801-530-6601/6001. Do it fast..do it in numbers.

I called the Utah Consumer Protection talked to 2 different people and both told me there wasn't really anything they could do other that fine them which they had already done. Maybe going to the Attorney General of Utah and the state your in might help. Contact the Montana BBB which is where they are now.

I found this when I looked Goldbilt up in the MOntana BBB. Very interesting what is said about the company.

The national and state BBB's are great organizations but have hardly more input to a local business than the local chamber of commerce. They have no punitive or corrective abilities and seem to have been a waste of time for folks that are trying to get their deposits refunded. They can give a company a poor grade but can not do a thing to get your money back.

The proper place for those type actions is the court system. Unfortunately once a less then honorable business has most of your savings it is difficult to mount a legal battle to regain that loss with out a lot of additional money.

Has anyone contacted the factory's that build the homes that QWH and Goldbilt sell to ask why they would permit their brand to be associated with the business practices described over and over in this forum ?

I have tried to find out how to contact Fleetwood. Our floorplan had a bogus Quality Wholesale model name and number on it...then Quality emailed us more information. Attached was the same floor plan but now Quality's bogus model name wasn't on it...it was labeled a Fleetwood! We thought Quality built the homes! If this isn't obviously deceptive, what the heck is? Fleetwood is in many states and I have not found out how to "talk" to the CEO yet.

Attorney General would not get involved for us and we lost $30,000!

Please take the time to file your report with the FTC, Federal Trade Commission, you can file on-line.

It starts out with easy questions (you can even give them more than 1 company name ... Quality Wholesale, Goldbilt, etc. - have the addresses, phone numbers at hand).

This will not give you immediate satisfaction. But enough complaints can close them down.

Also regarding Utah Consumer Protection. I have good results with them. Not sure what happened w/MaryJo, but please give them a try.

Let's not get lazy and let Quality or the Howards get away with scamming any more.

Go Team Fight!

Wish I knew how to make a u tube the guy who did one on United airlines/guitar got millions of viewers..but I can't sing anyhow.

The were getting most of their homes from Fleetwood in Riverside CA.Fleetwood will be of little help to you though since they filed bankruptcy a few months ago and announced they would be out of th factory home business.

If you still need them all the contact info you will need can be found here;

Today I talked to Steve Jents at Consumer Protection. He informed me that they are wiating for EVERYONE to turn in their compaints about quality wholesale and also checking into to see if quality and goldbilt are the one and the same company.
So if you have a complaint about either quality/DSh or goldbilt, please get them into Utah state of consumer protection attn. Steve Jents. Or call him at 801-530-6443.
thank you
