grissom books
grissom books
it seems every answer posted here refers back to selling grissom books. i have two grissom books. have they educated me on homes / somewhat.i learned about different structural features and installation ideas.did i find anything about pricing ? no. ie : a " manufactured 'home will be geared towards the low end buyer- price range - 40- 55, 000 thats all. a small paragraph about each, not a real comparison. i finally decided to throw them away. better off with a n.a.d.a.

I have not read the book in a while but I am sure he gives you a process similar to that I and the website "Admin" have posted..The basics are that all prices are local...There is no way fro a book writer of poster could have any exact price for all 3000 counties in the US...
I suggest you retrieve these books from the trash and reread the above highlighted topics...
I assume you do know NADA = National Automobile Dealers Association..Would you ask a manufactured home dealer the price of a car halfway across the country?
You could spend $50.00 for the 2007 Manufactured home guide which includes
"40 Years of Prices From 1968-2007 for Over 750 Manufacturers
Average Retail Prices with Wholesale and Loan Guidelines
In-Depth Adjustment Guideline Tables, Optional Equipment, Older Home Conversion Charts, and More!

This is a used home guide that might get you some insight to recent prices...Or you could spend less here as the admin pointed out and get a complete report already done for the home of your choice..
Since you are looking at new homes I still think the best info will come from local dealers...
