QW Homes in NV, and financing questions

Post by mercuryld » Mon Jun 26, 2006 4:20 pm

Hi there- I have a few questions:

I am working with this company based in Nevada called Quality Wholesale Homes and so far have had a pretty decent experience on the phone. They have even managed to pre-qualify me with impressive financing with a credit score of only 586! A real nice surprise considering I was not expecting to be pre-qualified at all.
However I have not shopped around too much- is there anyone who has had experience with these guys? One issue I have is they seem a little too eager to get my $2500 deposit check this week before they have answered some major questions.
Questions such as: what is the real possibility of transporting this single wide home onto my land over small roads? How much room do I need for the truck to back into the spot?
And Financing questions such as: What are the actual financing terms for my loan? How many points are there on the loan?

Does anyone know anybody in the San Francisco/San Jose California area who can come out to my site and give me a consultation to answer these questions BEFORE I put my money down on a home I've never even seen in person?

And what should I expect the seller to do in terms of set up and excavation, etc? QW Homes asks for $10,000 for set up on top of the MH cost.

About financing, what sort of interest rates and points does a "good" loan vs. "bad" loan have? Any other advice about first time MH loans?

Thanks for any info you can give...

There are many mentions of this dealer in these forums...I used the search function above and quickly found this thread

There are many more...try a search and see..Any dealer should be able to answer these fundamental questions you have before they ask for your money..If you are really approved, they should have NO problem answering your finance questions....

The land prep and roadway questions would be able to be better handled by local dealers...
