Leased Lots

My wife and I were just told something about leased lots that I had never heard of in the past. A realtor told us that if a park was purchased prior to 1984 they could be sold off to the highest bidder and the residents could be forced to leave. However, Florida legislation prohibits parks from being sold out from under us if the owner purchased the park after 1984. Have you even heard of this legislation? The realtor was in Vero Beach.
