Hello,
Does anyone know which manufactured home builder is the the one with the better quality construction and reliable post sale service? Our only two choices are Redman Homes of Idaho and Kit Homebuilders West of Idaho. We originally wanted a Fuqua from Bend, Oregon but just found out it is not carried any longer by the retailer in our area. Would it be too unreliable to still go for the Fuqua? The closest retailer is 3.5 hours away. Is Fuqua better or just as good as the Redman and the Kit? The Fuqua web site and their sales and engineering people have been much better informed and more willing and able to share their information than the other two, we wonder if this carriers through in the construction department.

The dealer is as important as the home so choose wisely. The quality of MH is so regional that what is built in my area may be a different than yours but Fuqua is a nicer home than Redmond and not familier with Kit. Have you looked at Karsten http://www.thekarstenco.com/ who say the handle Idaho out of Oregon. They build a very nice home and are comparable in price to Fuqua.
As far as the 3 1/2 hours is concerned that really depends on the dealer and how far 3 1/2 hours is, in LA thats a 1/2 mile sometimes. Speak with the factory and see what advice they have to offer but I would stay in the 200 mile range for good service.
