MH Financing/Marion County, FL

My wife and I are retired and looking to purchase a new doublewide manufactured home in the Ocala area. I have called some banks and mortgage lenders in Ocala, but have been unable to find one that will finance MH's that are in leased parks. Does anyone know of lending institutions in Marion County that do handle loans for MH's that will be placed in a leased park?

Try the finance section of this web site...this site is based in Marion County and the lenders here probably will be the best in the industry...

You are going to like the Ocala area..

Hi Steve. Unfortunately (if such is the case) my wife and I have already committed to a land lease community in Ocala. The community sales office has a lender in Ocala that they use, but I'm after more than 1 quote. Whatever information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. We know we are going to like Ocala. We fell in love with the area on our very first visit last May. I just want to double-check with you when you say to use the finance section of this web site. I presume you mean http://manufacturedhomelender.com.

Yes....You might also check out the Yellow Pages on this site and get names and addresses to call directly...

Often nice parks have specialized lending with local banks...These banks understand the parks clientel and are willing to offer very good programs..

Usually home only finance is priced by credit score and downpayment...The better the credit and larger the down..the lower the rate...If you intend to stay there long term and finance long term..you might also consider a buy down of the rate...Basically you pre pay a small amount of interest in exchange for a rate reduction for the full term...Often this can be financed with the home..

Have you checked out Greentree, they normally finance anything mobile home related. I know that back in 81 when I was in the military, Greentree financed a home that I had put in a park.
Do you live in the Ocala area? As cheap as alot of land is around here, maybe you should also consider finding a 1/4-1/2 acre. Check for property in the ocala National Forest area, you ave a few lakes & the price's are normally really reasonable.
