Just purchased new Fleetwood

Post by Gail » Mon May 17, 2004 1:02 pm

Hello, I just came across this site and I am a little worried. I just purchased a Fleetwood Entertainer with the residential package. (Dry wall, 8ft flat ceilings, 5/12 roof pitch). I havent read to much positive about the Fleetwood models on this site. Did I just make a huge mistake or am I going to be alright with this package? Any input would be great. Thanks Again-Gail

We have been in our Fleetwood entertainer for almost 2 years now and love our home. It was not very expensive and is beautiful inside and out and the construction is decent. I have seen many more homes that are much nicer than ours, and are built better, but they cost tens of thousands more. We are enjoying the value of our house for the money and have had no major problems. The problems we did have were from the set-up crew.
One thing though you have to keep calling them for warranty work. Call once a week and by the third call they have a contractor scheduled.

Every Manufacturer has some good models and bad ones.
I like the Entertainer series. We have been living in our weston built by fleetwood singlewide for 11 yrs now and have had no troubles whatsoever out of the ordinary that is. There will always some small amount of upkeep.
We are in the middle of purchasing a Homes of Merit Bay Manor Doublewide with all the Bells and whistles this time not because we don't like Fleetwood but because We fell in Love with this model and feel we are making the right decision.
Don't second guess yourself. You'll make yourself sick worrying about what others say.
Be happy with what you have and enjoy yourself.
