Champion or Patriot homes

Post by Sandy » Tue May 27, 2003 5:23 pm

Is there any reason that Patriot homes or Champion (Redman) homes can't follow up with potential customers about questions they may have about their homes? Do they have something to hide or nothing exciting to tell? Both of these companies were rated fairly well by Randy Eaton in his book, and I just don't understand it. It's like they don't want our business. It's sad. To me, it would just be common courtesy to at least respond. I've contacted other companies such as Hart Housing, Fairmont, Colony, and Clayton (Norris). They all of gone out of their way to help us with our decision. To me, that's important. If they can't take the time to respond to your questions now at the decision phase, will they be there once you've purchased your home?!?! I would have to question that. Far as I'm now concerned, these manufacturers have lost my business.

Isn't it odd how potential customers judge a company by the lack of response
they get when requesting information?

I had to email Patriot 3 times before I got a response. Sooo... I have to ask,
"What would they do for service if I needed it after the sale?"

The Patriot Pinnacle line was one we have been considering, but you have made
a valid point.

Champion uses Novodeck (particle board) for their subfloors, so they are not
even on my list.

I have had good luck with other companies when requesting info. Maybe those are
the ones that should be considered above the rest.

good luck

I've contacted Souther Energy through their web site....sm

and received a prompt, helpful reply. Their homes seem to be one of the better-built, also. I'm pretty settled on them, if it works out in the near future that we buy a MH.

This isn't just a problem with manufactured housing companies. Many firms have slick websites and invite emails and then never respond. Either they are flooded with emails or they don't have anyone assigned to answer them. It's bad for business.

If you want to contact someone at Patriot, go to their site, then click on "building centers," choose the brand of home "Crystal Valley" then email the individual you would like to have answer you.. sales, service, etc.
