Well, I ended up calling Southern Lifestyle Inc. in Addison, Al. to find out what the actual manufactured date was on this home since it wasn't listed. Come to find out the serial # shows that it is not a Lifestyle II, but that it is a Southern Heritage, which changed names WAY before 1999! They told me that this house had to be made probably sometime in 1994!! I guess it is time to just stop asking for our money back and file charges! Thanks for the good luck! Looks like we will need it to get our $4,000 back!

Well, she contacted us and said she would give us back the money if we faxed her letter requesting money back. We faxed it to her and now she is saying she didn't get it.....we do have the receipt saying it was received at the number she gave us. Now she is saying we need to send her a certified letter requesting the money and that she would send us the check once she receives this. We offered to bring the letter to her and hand deliver it right now, but she refused. We don't feel like we should or that we need to send it certified. She is just buying more time and we are tired of waiting! The cashier check we gave her for the down payment is dated July 11 and we gave it to her on July 14. (we have a copy of the cashier check) We are not getting the house she sold us because she couldn't and didn't give our finace office the title and they needed it because they too ran the serial number and it didn't match up to being a 2000 model either! We told her Aug. 8 that we wanted our money back and she said she would call us Monday, Aug. 11 to set up a time to meet her on Tues. when she was heading to La.. She called then and said Tues. she wasn't going but that she would meet us Thurs. on her way to La........I said "ok, I will get the details Wed. on when and where to meet you". Wed. Aug. 13, I called her and she didn't answer at home or on her cell phone. I left message to call me so that I knew when and where to meet her in the money for the check. She never called. We called her Thurs. morning and left another message on the cell phone. We called again that night.......left ANOTHER message........nothing! We called the next day, NOTHING. We called again and finally said "look, you either call us back and meet us to give us our money or we are turning you in to the sheriff's dept." We didn't hear anything from her until Monday Aug. 18. She gave us the run around, never said WHY she didn't meet me on Thurs. or anything. Tried to tell us she left her cell phone at home while she was away for the weekend. She lives and works on the cell phone 24/7 so we know that was a lie. (cell phone records could show she was on the phone that week and weekend) Anyway, she then tells us that she needs a letter faxed requesting our money. That was Monday the 18 and when I asked for fax # she said she didn't have it and would call us back with it. We didn't get called back. Tues. my husband called and she said she didn't know the number yet and that she would call him right back. She didn't call back and then on Wed. Aug. 20 I called her around 7:55 AM to get the fax # and she said she didn't have it still! She was suppose to call me right back but hadn't done so by 11:20 AM so I called her AGAIN and left message that we need the number NOW. She called me back around 1:30 and gave me the fax number. I had a friend send the fax right to her! I have the receipt saying it was received at that number and tonight when we called to see if she got our check in the mail today, she said she didn't receive the fax! She now wants us to send this letter certified mail and then she will send us check. This is outrageous and we have done enough to try to get our money back. My husband said FORGET SENDING LETTER CERTIFIED he is done with it and turning her in. I don't know what else to do.....we want our money back!

No one else here can do as much...I was very impressed that he posted here..Now you should follow up..This woman is in for a rough ride..often the checks come very quickly when authorities are involved..
