Brokers?
Brokers?
I am planning to purchase a large new home and assumed that after finding the desired model, I would be able to order it through a broker at a discounted price (as compared to a retailer who has huge overhead). However, I have not been able to find any brokers yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there such a thing as brokers for manufactured homes? Please help!
Re: Brokers?
The dealers function is quite complex....Set up is required, adjustments and service are all handled by dealers..
Your best bet is to shop dealers with in 250 miles...Shop exactly the same home from one to another..Be careful..option lists can be long and often shoppers do not know what to ask for...An example I often mention is washer and dryer hook ups...Most consumers think these are standard equipment..but often they are not..On nice homes option lists can be up to $ 15,000 with 40 or more items...
Also remember the lowest price is not always the best deal...Set up details can very substancially from dealer to dealer..such as footing, type of skirting, SEER rating of the a/c, type of steps, type of anchor system, vapor protection...the list is long..but a dealer cutting corners can save hundreds if not thousands and deliver a barebones set up that might not be in your best interest..
