55 and older but only 54?

does anyone know how i can get into a senior park this year before i turn 55? i have been on disability and my 2 kids are grown, married and on their own, i feel discriminated against! i am in illinois and want to go into maple brook park or gateway and they don't want to budge, anything i can do???

Their ball and their ball park. As long as they don't discriminate because of
race or national origin, they got ya. Wait another year. When I was drafted at
19, I felt like I should have the same rights as the 21 year olds. In the
mobile home market, age, I'm afraid, is a "legal discrimination." They have
to draw the line somewhere, and they chose 55. Maybe you can find a park
whose age minimum is 50.

I'm going through the same thing, and I think these parks are "cutting off their nose to spite their face". Rules are made to be broken in instances where each party gains. What's one year? I will not move into a park at 55 that shunned me at 54, and it'll be their loss.
