sales tax?

tonight i have been reading messages posted since last october and happen to run across several postings regarding sales tax. i live in texas and specifically asked the fleetwood dealer if sales tax was paid on the purchase of a new mh. he told me "no, there is no sales tax charged". if you have purchased recently in texas, could you tell me the correct answer?
