Spanned Floor? Crystal Valley Homes by Patriot?

I am in the process of purchasing a Crystal Valley Home for private land.

The dealer is suggesting a spanned floor system as I am placing the home on a basement foundation. He did say that you can get away from the spanned floor system if you use extra columns for support. The spanned floor system will cost just under $4000 extra and the extra support columns would only be about $1000.

Any pro's and or con's?

Also, have any of you have any experience with the Crystal Valley line from Patriot?

Any information would be helpful.
