Marlette Homes
Marlette Homes
My wife and I have decided that realestate prices in the Seattle area are more than we can afford. The best solution so far is a manufactured home. We have looked at several brands and have decided that Marlette homes by Schult has the features and floorplans we like the best as well as a bit better interior construction. Does anyone have an opinion about the overall quality of the homes? Is there one model line that stands out as a better one? Any information would be helpful. Thank you

Re: Marlette Homes
Ditto what Randy said -
We have several friends who own Valleys - and swear by them - and our extensive research reveals that Valley is one of the premier manufacturers in the entire country. We live in Eastern Oregon and are searching for -1) quality construction, set-up and warranties; and -2) a manufacturer willing to go the extra mile and work with us to create a floor plan suited to our unique requirements.
Valley not only builds a superior product, but backs it up with in-house transportation and set-up crews - which I feel is a distinct advantage.
I would suggest that you call Don at 800-704-2813 - he's the General Manager at the Wenatchee location and has been enormously helpful in addressing our needs.
Oh - and don't forget to tell them Randy sent you - plus, if you want some extremely valuable information and insight into the manufactured home purchasing process buy Randy's book set - if you're serious about buying a mfg'd home it's the best fifty bucks you'll ever spend.
Hope this helps,
Rob
Re: Marlette Homes
We live in teh Seattle area and just had a very bad experience with the Marlette Dealer in Puyallup. They refused to even let us see any of their models unless we proved our net worth to them. The sales guy was a total jerk. We saw this as a very bad sign of future service so left without even looking at anything.
The sad part is we can afford their top of the line easily and were very excited about it until then.
Their loss.
We're looking at Fuqua and Silvercrest now and will also look at Randy's suggestion of Valley Quality Homes (although their exteriors on-line are very "mobile- home-like", which we're trying to avoid.)

Re: Marlette Homes
Hello Mark,
Try the marlette dealer in Moses Lake. The owners do all the the tranactions and there is no salesperson commission involved, a better deal for everybody. Valley will allow you to up-grade their exteriors, I would suggest taking a look at their home on the lot. Their web page is dated and does not show the changes they have made recently. Silvercrest is good and Fuqua also. God Bless.

Re: Marlette Homes
Can anyone recommend a good dealer/product in New Mexico? Any experiences with types of homes, dealers, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I've ordered Randy's book set and it should arrive within the week... we're going "scouting" this weekend in Albuquerque. Thanks - MDG
Re: Marlette Homes
