Superior walls

Post by edelia » Wed Mar 27, 2002 11:51 am

I've just purchased land and am in the process of ordering a 2000 sq.ft. mfh. I am planning to get superior walls for the basement. After just talking to the contractor, I was told that the house would sit above the wall perimeter and I would need concrete block to fill it in or I could have it made to sit on the wall and would not need cross beams. Since I've never done this before and have no idea, does anyone out there have this type of basement and could offer me insight/advice.

Thanks!

Hello Edelia,

You need to order you home basement ready this is an option with most builders. I would also recommend you deal with a contractor who has done a few basement sets. This site also offers a 5-part video series you might want to check out. It shows a home being placed on a concrete wall much like a basement set. It would be good information!
