Hello Charlotte,
Flooring is important and the company I purchased my home from used Cresdeck. My home has 2x8 floor joists every 16" Cresdeck comes in 8' x 14' sheets, which eliminates many seems and Cresdeck is treated with a water residence coating and is backed by a 10 year warranty. My floor is nailed, glued and screwed down. My home also has a concrete foundation under it, which adds to the structural integrity, all of these points are important. I would encourage every body to go with 2x8 floor joists and a concrete foundation. I believe this to be more importatn then type of sub-floor. Sub-floor material would be third on my list when it comes to this topic. For the record T/G 3/4"sub-floor is probably the best sub-floor out there in the industry, but here again if placed this sub-floor on a 2x6 floor joist and no concrete foundation you will probably experience problems. There has been a lot of talk about floors and which product is the best and in my opinion you have to talk about all three, concrete foundation, 2x8 floor joists and type of sub-floor. Hope this helps!
