We live in So. Calif. and have found a 5 acre parcel with a well and electricity already on the property. There is already a very small trailer on the property with everything in it that we will probably use for a guest house. We are pretty nervous about buying our mobilehome because we have heard many horror stories about the dealers tacking on charges without consent. I've heard they are worst than used car salespeople and will do whatever they can to take advantage of you because most people don't know the first thing about laws and regulations regarding mobilehomes. What kind of charges should we expect to pay? How can we tell if they are tacking on charges that are not legitimate? We will be preparing the site ourselves. My husband is a well contractor so he has alot of experience with electrical, plumbing, and septic. We have B-C credit. Do you know what kind of interest rate we can expect?
