Tornados

Why is it that tornados are such a threat to mobile homes? Or is that a myth? Do tornados damage mobile homes so much because of the location (i.e. rural areas) of the homes or because of the construction of the homes? I know what the mobile home industry says, but would like input from other knowledgeable people.

A manufactured home that is constructed similar to a site-build home, sitting on a concrete foundation with an anchoring system will perform very well during a tornado.
