Is it possible?

Post by Tnmom46 » Sat Jul 06, 2024 5:34 pm

Hello. I am new to the manufactured home world but my husband and I are interested in possibly buying one. We have to find some land but we are only pre-approved for $225,000. Is it possible to buy a double wide and land with this amount? We are wanting a small lot, nothing big. Getting a little discouraged because this economy has all of the property around me in middle TN priced so high. Thank you for any input.

Land prices are increasing lately, so if you can try to get to 300,000, you may be lucky to find a house that suits you.

Yes, it's definitely possible to buy a double-wide manufactured home and land for $225,000, especially if you're looking for a smaller lot. While the market can be challenging, consider exploring rural areas or negotiating with sellers to find a suitable option within your budget.

I could explore other areas, but the market is becoming more and more difficult.
