I would like to replace the indoor/outdoor carpeting on my small front porch (approx 6' X 6'). The edges of teh plywood wood have a 1.5-2" metal 90 degree angle strip. Can I use composite decking on top of the plywood? This porch has skirting on two sides, is not connected to the house, nor connected to the awning/roof over it.
I am looking for an alternative to this carpeting.
Thank for any ideas.

Why do you want to add another layer of decking ?
What kind of composite decking your thinking about? Many types would be unacceptable for exterior use.

Re: Porch with indoor/outdoor carpeting
Hello,
I have one I bought at Costco. I used to have it in the basement but the cat kept peeing on it so I put it outside to let several rainstorms wash it out. I haven't brought it back inside and it seems fine. Just be sure to weight it on the corners or sides so the wind doesn't whip it away.
