Rotted wall rainwater slopes toward house

Post by jenga543 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 1:06 pm

Hoping for some creative, inexpensive ideas. Mobile home sits on private property with crawl space. Concrete slab sidewalk runs along entire front of home. Sidewalk has heaved and rain water slopes TOWARD the house. Damaged flooring and walls are being replaced/repaired. How to stop/divert the rainwater from going toward home??? ANY suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

If a broken sidewalk is the problem it probably needs to be replaced.

If the sidewalk belongs to the local town or community talk to the appropriate office about making the repairs. If the sidewalk belongs to you; You can replace it with a new sidewalk that slopes away form the home or just remove it. A grassy replacement will not be costly but take some work.
