I have a dilemma and would love some advice. I have a 99 Marshfield home. The board on my Intertherm Furnace needs replacing. I have had a few estimates to replace the board and also the furnace. I am leaning toward purchasing a new furnace. The companies that have given me estimates all want to replace it with a Maytag. I have been told that Maytag is the old Intertherm. In looking at reviews of Maytag Furnances people seem to not be happy with them.
A little background on my furnace. I have already replaced the blower motor 2 years ago. I have been in this home for 5 years. The previous owners had a leak through the vent above the furnace. That being said I am wondering if that has created the few problems I have had with it. I can actually see where the water has come in. This is what makes me think that I should purchase a new furnace.
I would love some advice on whether to just replace the board and take my chances on possibly it lasting for a few more years or just purchase a new furnace?
If I purchase a new furnace does anyone have any advice on Maytag or not? Or any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Your answer depends on what you can afford to do at this time. A new furnace will be more energy efficient than the one installed when your hone was built, and save money for you going forward. So if you can afford it go with the new furnace.

Coming off the back of last weeks article about sanitizing my makeup I purged my collection and disposed of all my unused and old cosmetics. Needless to say, my collection is now substantially smaller. Not to worry, I suppose it gives me an excuse to branch out and experiment with some new products right? After my purge I ended up pondering how often I purchase cosmetics and then refuse to throw them out. Unfortunately you have caught me. That's right I am a functioning makeup hoarder! I once kept a tube of discontinued lipstick from my favourite brand for about seven years before I could bear to part with it. O_o can I detect product expiration here?
