How do I find out the name on a title.
How do I find out the name on a title.
I bought a mobile home from a dealer in 2007, I financed it through a bank and had my mom co-sign the loan. It has been paid off for over a year, but the bank says they never got a title from the dealer. They have given me a lien release for the home, but it has just a partial serial number on it for some reason, and Not the full VIN, which i cant find any where, i think it was on the breaker panel box but i have installed a new one since buying the home. I want to sell it but the DMV will only let the owner on the title file for a duplicate or replacement title. I do not know what name is on the title. The insurance policy has my name and my moms name, the property taxes are under my name, but the lien release has my moms name only. How do I find out who's name is on the title, and if the dealership never issued one could it still be in the last owners name. The dealership has been very uncooperative and will not help us. I do not have a bill of sale or anything, just my loan agreement through the bank, and a lien release. Also the serial number listed on the insurance policy is two letters and six numbers, could this be the full vin? It is a 1981 Shultz , the number listed on the banks lien release is the same six numbers but does not list the two letters in the front of them. I am in Missouri. Any advise would be helpful,

Check your local clerk of the courts or department of motor vehicles web site or contact them directly for the original lien details that were recorded with the lien on the home.
See this prior post for details to find the serial number etched on your home.
