Royal Knight

I have a Royal Knight on my property (not the main house). I am trying to do a refinance and the lender will lend if it is a "mobile home" but not a "manufactured home". He says the difference is that a mobile home can be just hitched up and towed away but a manufactured home has to be loaded on a truck.

I've looked up Royal Knight on the web and it was a brand build by Lancer Homes of Wichita Falls, TX in the 1970's. Lancer Homes no longer exists.

So the question is--- is this considered a mobile home or a manufactured home?

Thanks.

Most lenders consider a "mobile home" one that is on a transportable steel frame. Look under your home. Is there a steel frame supported by foundation piers made of stacked concrete blocks ?

A modular home is usually set up on a perimeter foundation. What do you see under your home ???
