My new home was delivered today and about 80% complete. There are large cracks in the walls mostly around the windows. They are horrable. Also should the trim be free of gaps. Seems like there are alot of gaps in the trim work.

So far I am not impressed with this purchase. Maybe they will get a crew to repair the home. So far i have found about 25 things wrong and I have not even gotten to 3 bedrooms and 1 bath room yet. I will post some pictures on photobucket tomorrow with a link to some pictures. There are also some loose tiles in the kitchen floor. It is kinda like the peel and stick floorings. I know alot of it is due to the delivery and setup process.

Also when they where moving the home they damaged my walkway. A concret walkway. They drove over it with a mobile home mover a small tracked vehicle. Should they be responable for the repairs of it?

There are numerous operations and complexities involved in the installation of the modern manufactured home. If you want to your home to perform correctly for years to come the site prep and installation must be handled properly.

Give the installer a chance to finish. Cosmetic damage is inevitable during the installation process. At this point any pro has to concentrate on operations that support the home and connect it to utilities. Let then finish under the home before they move inside. Cosmetic restoration and trim are the last part of the installers job.

The damaged concrete walkway is a separate issue. Addressing this onsite will serves only to delay field operations. This should be addressed through the dealer who hired the installation crew, and probably has future work booked with them.
