Can a HUD Code Park Model Home be shipped out of Florida like to Georgia & Alabama. It is rated Windzone 2. I know there is a different roof load once you get past Georgia, Tennessee & North Carolina but I am not going that far.

The size of the home is 13'4" x 35' 476 SQ.FT.

Short answer is yes..You can locate this home anywhere in GA that calls for wind zone 1 or 2. Alabama would be the same. This is about 97% of both states. Most counties in GA have building and zoning rules. If the property allows any manufactured home your HUD code approved park model will be acceptable. Some subdivisions might have a minimum size home bigger than yours but zoning only requires 450 or more sq feet to be legal..Good Luck with your move..

Thank you for getting back to me in a Timely manner. It was what I expected. I think the stumbling block is from the Florida Manufacturers that do not want to do service on homes shipped so far away. Especially if these manufacturers are from Central Florida. Thanks Again.

I was in the industry in Augusta, GA and it was not unusual to handle and sell homes from Lakeland, Ocala, the Clearwater and Plant City..All these homes were well serviced by their manufactures.
