Range Over/Under (Eye Level)

Post by sathed » Wed Sep 08, 2010 3:05 pm

I was going through the NADA pricing guide and came across this term. I can't find much on the internet about it. Anybody know what it is?

Thanks,
S

Sounds like a countertop range with a wall oven that is at eye level rather than under the range top.

Is that common in mobile homes? Sorry, I'm completely new to the mobile home industry...

Thanks,

This was a deluxe feature of the early 70's for manufactured homes and site built alike. You never see it anymore. The cooktop had an integral backsplash and the oven was the range hood as you expect a microwave to be today. It was a way to do a wall oven while saving money and space compared to the traditional surface burner with a wall oven in a separate pantry cabinet.
