problem with flooring installation

We read a response sent to michellebrown1234 back in July 2007 regarding putting vinyl tile over the joint between the two halves of the double wide mobile home. It was stated that she should install quarter inch plywood, then use leveler. We recently had Konecto vinyl flooring (floating floor) installed in our dining room, living room, family room, hallway and 2 bathrooms. The floor is fine except for about 5 feet where it goes over the joint between the living room and family room. The installer used the leveler directly on the joint -- filling it with leveler, then installing the flooring directly on top of the leveler. About a week after installation, a 3/16 inch bump appeared for a length of 5 feet at the location of the joint between the two sections of our home. Do you have any thoughts about the cause and recommendation for solution of our problem?

Sounds like there was too much filler used or it expanded... the flooring has to be lifted and the leveler sanded down.
