I'm trying to buy a modular home built in Elkhart,In in 1991 by Patriot Homes. The data # is NTA227353. I actually need to know please about the structure of the home, specifically steel beam vs. wooden beam and any other info that may be benificial in making a purchase.

The number you've given in the HUD label number. This means the home was built to the HUD code, and is a manufactured home by definition. It is not a modular.
