Serial Number Search

Post by JR911421 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:25 pm

I am trying to find the serial number on a Home manufactured in 1991. I have no information other than it is set on a concrete foundation and has an addition done with permits. It is located in Richmond, CA. I need it for FHA financing.

I have no idea who made the home.

I live in AZ and here the vin # is located in the Co Assessors info. If it was moved and installed, it would have to have a permit, and all the info goes trough the Co Assessor, they want to know who will be paying the taxes on it. If it is not affixed it will be under personal property, if it is it will be a recorded deed, as the title will be forfeited in lieu of the deed.
All we need here is the address, the personnel will pull up the address and give you all the info requested, they are great!
Hope it is that easy for you!

Serial numbers are located in two places. The controling location is on the backing plate, the piece of metal that stretches across the front of the home, where the hitch is attached. The second is on the data plate installed within the home.
