Quality Wholesale/Goldbilt

Post by scamartists » Sun Aug 16, 2009 2:44 pm

Although I reported to IC3 on-line which is the same as reporting to the FBI, my husband and I decided to report to our LOCAL FBI office (suggested by my very helpful sisters). Perhaps a warm body standing before them would result in some action.

You have to call for an appointment first, so my husband called and talked to an agent. The agent was very interested in the story of QWH/Goldbilt, etc. and my husband was on the phone with the agent for about 20 minutes. The agent said that time was needed to look over things and wondered if it would be OK to call my husband back, and he said yes.

Later in the day, the agent called back. IC3 was checked and there are "several" complaints filed. The agent said that was good, that when enough complaints are filed, the FBI moves on a case. You are welcome to verify this story. It would be good to have others in the group state what happened when they called their local FBI.

No matter if you lost $1,000 or $100,000, you should do something about it. If enough complaints are filed, the FBI moves on the case and the sooner the better.

PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT IC3 BY DOING THAT YOU ARE ALSO REPORTING TO THE FBI! EASY ON-LINE REPORTING!

Complaints filed show the tendency of QWH to scam (vs. the customer didn't understand excuse).

The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) was established as a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to serve as a means to receive Internet related criminal complaints..

Thanks for the info, I will forward all the information I have against this nationally scam company. I have been working on this since 2006.
The Utah Attorney General's office, will not do anything.

I sent the State of Montana all the I know, to the Attorney General and the Consumer Protection, however the address Goldbilt lists is a Mail Etc Business and all the complaints to MT are from out of state, which they can't seem to do anything about, per consumer protection, just fill out (another) form.

These people are extremely sly, Devon's days are numbered, we will get them on a federal level, just need federal dept's that will listen and take over.

Thanks for the info towards the link to FBI... the BBB does nothing, so much file, just a waste of time and waiting....

Luck is not what the thousands of people who have been scammed by this group needs, serious issues, need serious people involved on a Federal Level.

I have told QWHomes I will not stop until they are convicted...

Note; the avg scam is for $5,000 deposit, of which you are told on the phone that they won't be any problem with refunds if necessary, just need the deposit to lock in the pricing before it goes up.

Yes, you feel embarrassed, humiliated that you fell into their scam.
Note; that some of the sites against this company are actually the company to detour your actions, sly move.
Lots of postings on the web about this group of scam artists. It's huge.

Quality Wholesale Homes aka Goldbilt ripped me off as well to the tune of $5000. I even went as far as to sell my home thinking I was getting into a good deal. I now live w/ my mom. My $68,000 deal turned into an astonishing $170,000!Thanks Dave Higbee- youre a real gem! DCP said they have even been court ordered several times to return peoples' money, to no avail. I don't see how they stay in business and something hasn't been done about this. Its frustrating as all get out.
