Removing Trim pieces and later relocating purged mobile?

We'd like to repaint our pre-wallpapered panels and remove the trim between each panel while doing so. If we do this, is it not possible to move the house later? It's a doublewide.
On possibly another subject: It's also a "purged" mobile home (still has axles, though). Will it be exceptionally difficult to move anyway? It was on the property we bought, but is actually pretty nice. We were hoping to move it to another part of the property for family when we built our final home.
Thanks!

That's what the real estate agent called it

- it seemed to mean that the house was setup so it wasn't "mobile" anymore and the bank could consider it a stationary house. What I actually mean is that we have posts and piers... that may be normal, we're still learning!

Purged Mobile definition in Colorado:
"After either of the above is completed, a manufactured home becomes real property for ad valorem purposes. That is, the home remains a manufactured home but is taxed as real property and can be sold or otherwise have ownership transferred by deed, along with the land to which it is affixed by a permanent foundation. To move such a manufactured home in the future, a bond for title action is required.
Purging Titles – When an owner surrenders the home’s title to the Colo. Dept. of Revenue which then deletes the title from state records, i.e. a purge ad valorem. The home must be on a permanent foundation at its permanent site, with land and home owned by the same person(s). "

From the above definition it seems you will have to check with your local authorities about permission to move it. Many places in the country would NOT allow 2 homes on 1 piece of land. "Purged" is a term unique to CO legal definitions. From what I can see it has little to do with how it is set up but really only a taxation term..Taxes on it are included in your real estate tax bill and not separate from the land as it would be if you did not own the land..Before you disconnect it you should talk to your local officials. Once disconnected they do NOT have to allow it to be re hooked up if zoning has changed.

Since this term ONLY means something to folks in CO, I assume you are there. Since it has been over 2 years since I researched the other posts here, I do not remember much of the detail..but the post above from 10/24 with the definition mentions that the process involves turning your title over to the Department of Revenue, I would suggest you call them for the exact detail...
