New Purchase Issues - Need help please

Hello all,

I'm kinda in a situation right now. My family originally had an old single wide. We decided to get a double wide. We spoke with a salesman and he set us up with a double wide. The original plans were for the double wide to be setup behind the single wide. We would move everything over from the single wide to the double wide and have all utilities hooked up to the double wide and then we would eventually tear down the old single wide and have it shipped to the dump (although I had no idea what kinda task that was).

That old salesman was fired or quit and we had another salesman take over our double wide deal. He told us that the old plan of tearing down the single wide wouldn't work, but they would allow us have time to move our stuff from the old place (cause we're still living there) to the new place and then they would take that place away for us.

Here's the big problem. The "guy" they had that was going to take our old place away isn't interested at all with it (But that shouldn't be our problem right?). We're now stuck in a bad situation. We can't move in until all utilities are hooked up and we can't do those until the old place is gone.

I don't know what to do. I don't think this agreement was in writing and we're in a bind. We still owed a bit on the old singlewide and lot, so the mortage company paid that off and added that amount to the double wide loan. Would they now own the single wide and be required to remove it? Is the mobile home dealer required to move it because they told us they would? I'm kinda unsure on what to do next and any and all information is greatly appreciated. Right now they're "trying" to find someone to move it for us, but it actually seems like they're just trying to ignore us.

Thanks everyone in advance for your help.

Most important for you is not what they told you but what you have in writing in your purchase agreement..The first salesperson's word means little now..He was probably wrong...Most local governments would require the old home out before approving the utilities and allowing the new home to be ready to live in. Most likely you are going to be homeless for a few days..Have you talked to the dealers top management about help..He/she should be just as worried as you.. He will not get his money from the bank until the new home is set and ready to live in. You could be homeless for a week or more..Maybe you can get the dealer to help with a portable storage units such as PODS and help with the motel costs. PODS is a company who leases portable storage units on you land..The national company can be found here;

http://www.pods.com/

You will need temporary housing for you and your family which the dealer could help pay for..Do not let the frustrations get to you. Try to be businesslike in your discussions with the owner/manager. Good luck
