I have a 1988 Carrollton double wide.
How do I find out the model number?
How do I look up the VIN number? I have it on the title.
How do I find the value of the home?
Does Carrollton have a web site or company directory. I searched google and couldn't find anything.
Any help would be appreciated and thank you.

Re: Carrollton Homes
The information you seek would have been on the data plate laminated to a wall or cabinet door..You can see an example of one here:
http://www.ibts.org/data_plate.shtml
Sometimes the title will list the make and model..
There is an organization that HUD contracts with to archive and verify HUD information..You can get a HUD verification letter from IBITS which will include some of the info you are looking for..Onliine procedure and phone numbers are here:
http://www.ibts.org/label_req.shtml
If I remember right this manufacturer closed in or about 1998..Maybe others here will know for sure..
Your duplicate post asked where to get an approximate value of this home..Straight above this web site offers a NADA book appraisal...Just remember condition and location make a vast difference in value...It will be worth thousands more if it can be sold where is..moveing costs are very high..Then if it is sold where is the location can add or subtract tens of thousands in value..
The best way to get a true quick sale value is to call a local dealer selling used homes and ask for a cash offer..This will be probably a lot lower than your hopes will be..

Re: Carrollton Homes
Carrollton was a brand used by the Skyline Corporation. I don't think any of the Skyline factories have used the Carrollton brand for several years. The factory that built your home may or may not be still open. The place to try would be skylinehomes.com. Any information they would have will be quite limited after this many years.
