I am an appraiser and am doing an appraisal on a home that has a steel undercarrage that appears to be a manufactured home (mobile double wide).
However it is a Vindale model 531 356vtld 1212 sq/ft. Never heard of this company. Is this a modular or manufactured with a title??????

I believe this was built in 1979. Could this be one of those steel frame modulars built in the era? Thanks Doug! [email protected]

Vindale built both products in 1979..If it is a manufactured (YOU Call it mobile) home it will have red HUD labels affixed to both sides. Most modular homes have a certification label in the electric box that tells which state's regulations it meets...

Some states have appraiser regulations that require appraisers to appraise on frame modulars as manufactured homes but off frame mods as stick built..Check with your states regulation authorities...
