My wife and I are considering buying a home in about a year or so. First of all we are not sure what the difference is between all of the different things that they are called: manufactured home, mobile home, modular home? I think both mobile and modular homes are types of manufactured homes, but I am not sure what the difference between them is. Also we went and looked at some homes this past weekend and were really impressed with some of them, but then others not so much. We really like the homes that had the studs in the ext. and int. walls and that had sheetrock. I am not sure if because of this they are called something else or not. We live in MS and are wanting to know of some good companies that we should check out that provide a good product and warranty.

The next thing would be that we have had some financial problems in the past. Our credit is not very good and we had to file for bankruptcy a few years back. We are wondering what companies, if any cater to people who have poor credit? Also what types of rules, or restrictions do they have?

Thanks in advance for your time and help and reading what I have on this site so far has been helpful.
