Hello,
First of all, kudos to the people who make this site possible. I stumbled upon it in my quest to get as educated about MH's as I possibly can, and it has been really informative. One of the first things I did when my wife and I decided we were going to purchase a MH was to buy John Grissim's two books. Thanks, John! They should be required reading before anyone purchases a MH.

My question is this... Does anyone know of a manufacturer who offers a model that is solely made to be ADA compliant, or one that approaches a Universal Design? And I don't mean just grab-bars and wider doors.

For years the only completelyADA compliant manufactured home has been Turtle Homes...It seems they have changed company direction as many have done in these tough times..Their former web site now redirects you to this site...

The web site says they will sell complete homes delivered but not set...They also sell fully compliant RV models...Seems the complex set up standards have driven them out of the local set up and site preporation...You might want to call them and get info directly.These folks would be the industry experts on this product..Just remember site prep, set up, a/c's installed, skirting and decks can run tens of thousands of dollars..

Many other manufacturewrs will customize some features as you are aware..

Turtle homes is and always was a retailer, not a manufacturer, their homes were built by Superior Homes. In the Midwest or Northeast, Shamrock will make virtually any change needed for accessiblity.
