I currently live in a Manufactured home park. I have a 1994 Fleetwood DW manufactured home. I would like to get out of the park. Selling is not an option because many homes in our park have been up for sale for over a year with no lookers, and I probably owe more then it would sell for. So I was thinking the only way out is to buy a piece of land and have my mobile home relocated to it. Any info will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

Big project...Process would be to find some property zoned for manufactured homes first..Then find a local PROFESSIONAL set up crew with a set up license...They will have to use their license to get the building permit...Moving costs are a lot higher than most expect....Distance makes little difference since most of the costs are tear down and set costs...Also a/c's must be professionally moved adding about $500 to the move..Also expect to have to buy all new skirting seldom does it fit back right...Permenent masonry underpinning could well cost $ 4000..The move should be about $5000-6000 plus any site prep costs....Site prep varies greatly around the country...I have seen West coast posters here mention figures in the $50,000 range...Here in the SE if a well and septic are involved $12-18,000 is common..Huge project..Good Luck

not sure where you are but i think our neighbor told us for a dw its 1000 for each section and not sure if that includes setup-and also not sure what distance that covers. im not even sure about ac. here our septic 6 years ago was $2000. then you have to count your water lines, electricity pole if not already there, and driveway prep if oneis not there.
i understand about how you want to move to your own land but i would get prices before jumping into it and not having enough funds.
