refinancing

Post by cisco » Mon Jun 18, 2007 9:42 am

I have a 1999 singlewide manufactured home that is on a loan by itself. I also have 10 acres of land that is not on any loans. Is there a way to get refinancing on either or both even if I was discharged from bancruptcy last year?

This looks like something for your local bank.....Mortgage companies do not normally finance projects where the land is far more valuable than the home which I assume is your case...Seldom will a mortgage company finance a person with a BK until at least 2 years of time and development of new credit...BUT smaller local banks do do equity loans in most circumstances...Try a small local bank who will know the land values and local market...I would not waste your time at a large mega bank...Policy manuals would probably stop you from doing business with them....

When you go to visit your banker bring the whole bk forms packet, bank account records for the last 3 months and income verification for the last 2 years...Show them you can and will pay them back...The last thing they want is your home and land..All they want is their money and interest...
